London, UK / Britain - Part 2 (Where is the Buckingham Palace?)

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of Britain's Monarch and is one of the London's landmarks. But you may notice that it was not included in my earlier "London's Landmarks" post... (yalah, why huh?) Sigh, this is because we had missed it out, as we had mistaken the Horse Guards Barrack (that's why no photo lor...) as the Buckingham Palace :-{

The funniest part is that we didn't even notice this until I was sorting our photos and start to wonder why we did not see any Irish Guards? (these are the famous guys wearing tall fur cap and on sentry duty at the Palace). I then google it and found out that the building we thought is Buckingham Palace is actually the Horse Guards Barrack... :-o

Anyway, airfare to London is now at a much more affordable price, so I may go to London again and I will make sure I get it right the next time :-p While waiting for my next visit to London, below are the photos we took at Horse Guard Barrack, as well as a clip of the changing of guard ceremony.

Horse Guard (See those "brown brown" thingy, it's the horse's dump. Yak~)

Beware, horse may kick or bite, thank you

London, UK / Britain - Part 3 (The Museums)

Museum, Museum, Museum. There are over 240 museums in London and you can have one of the world's best "museum buffet" here.

But we do not have a big appetite for museums (due to time constraint as well), so we visited 3 museums only during our visit. First, we had British Museum as the starter. Then we chose Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum as the main course, followed by the Natural History Museum as desserts... Emm, yummy~ :-)

Below are some simple introduction of the museums that we had "eaten" :-p

Starter - British Museum
British Museum is one of the world's greatest museum and has more than 7 million collections!!! The best part is, the entrance is FREE!!! (mainly because most of the collections were taken from other countries without permission???)

Great Court of the British Museum

Main Course - Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum
This was really a pricey main course - entrance fee is a whopping 25 pounds per person... Besides, get prepare for the queue and taking photos with your favourite stars could be challenging in view of the crowd. But hey, where else can you have the chance to "meet" so many celebrities??? Besides, the Spirit of London is also an interesting ride. So, despite the price tag and the crowd, I would still recommend you to visit this popular museum if you happened to be in London :-)

The Beattles

Will Smith

David Beckham
Mr. President...

Desserts - Natural History Museum
There is a huge collection of Dinosaur models at the Natural History Museum, including a moving roaring model of T-Rex. Of course, there are also some other interesting natural exhibits here. Trust me, you will not want to miss out this museum...
